Sciacca is a town and comune (municipality) in the province of Agrigento on the south-western coast of Sicily, Southern Italy. It overlooks the Mediterranean Sea.
As you make your way through the charming streets of Sciacca, you'll notice the city's unique blend of ancient history and modern charm. The town was founded by the Greeks in the 5th century BC, and over the centuries, it has been ruled by the Romans, Byzantines, Arabs, and Normans. This rich history is evident in the town's architecture, which features beautiful Baroque churches, ancient ruins, and medieval castles.
